This is one of the tools of the trade in my new hobby, metal detecting . . .



I love urban archeology and finding things. Especially things that people have discarded or lost. The idea that something has been buried under a 3 inch layer of sand and might have been there for a very long time and never noticed is a rush for me and the idea that there are thousands of things like this on beaches and in parks and areas where people gather and drop shit amazes me.

So this is a wet sand beach scoop, and I'll post pictures of whatever I find on here when I get a chance to take it to the beach some weekend coming up.

I'm sure everyone will be waiting with baited breath!
