Vespas and Nortons together again
This was taken at Green Valley Falls , a camp ground about 45 minutes outside of San Diego . We used to just sit around and get fucked up and decide to go camping out of nowhere . We would all ride the bikes up there and let everyone know where we would be , then all the chicks would show up later in cars & trucks with all the food and tents and booze .

These things seem to be falling out of the sky or something
This is my friend Katie's Schwinn . It's a 1971 I believe , another varsity . I got to do some work on this bike today , nice way to start a saturday afternoon . Put new tires & tubes on it , re-wrapped the bars in some good vintage bar wrap I just happen to have tons of laying around in a box in my garage . Then the back rim needed truing in a bad way , so I tightened & losend the spokes accordingly and low and behold , it's almost straight as an arrow . Not a lot of hard stuff , but shit that needed to be good because now it's time to go for a ride !!

I don't know if I am making the little bike look little , or if the little bike is making me look big . . .

1970 Schwinn Varsity
I got to work on this bike a little for a good friend who bought it in Colorado for $10 . It was in pretty good shape and all he did was clean it up and remove the taller gear on the front sprocket , making it a 5 speed . I cut down the buckhorn style bars to a more stylish street fighter / lane splitter style and found some nice orange wrap for them . Then I rigged up the rear break on the wrong side because there wasn't room on the right side of the bars . I think it looks pretty sweet and seems to work really good . At least he hasn't wrecked on it yet , so it must work okay . . .
