I helped clean this bike up with a friend

It's a 1964 CB77 Honda 305 . When we got it it was pretty rough but ran nice , it just needed to have the dust knocked off of it and have a few things replaced and added and tightened down here & there . It had a set of cocktail shakers on it , but they were super rusty and kind of thrashed so I put this set on there that I actually got from an estate sale that were NOS and never used . It took some trimming and massaging but eventually they were right at home . Got a few items off eBay like the rare Spring Fender front fender , a tail light here and a headlight ring there & a few drilled out home made brackets later & I think it really came together nice .

It was my friend Dave's birthday gift for his wife Mary and we had to keep it secret for like 3 months while he snuck over to work on it . Needless to say she was blown away when she got it . I'm pretty pleased with how well it turned out . Almost everything we got for it was NOS honda stuff , or lightly used original equipment , so the bike is pretty legit still . Under all the dust & surface rust ( which came off without too much trouble with a little tin foil and some never dull ) suddenly the chrome came to life and it started to actually look like something .

60's jap bikes are awesome , and this one turned out to be a really clean little example of what they used to run 'em like back in the day , very slight customizing here & there , but over all just a neat little bike .

If you know how to weld , or just tinker , this is scary and important to know

A long time ago I was welding some stuff in my Mercury . As it turned out the material I was welding was galvanized steel and I got sick as shit for a few days . It was pretty scary as I knew the dangers of welding galvanized metal but wasn't aware that was what I was doing till it was too late . I can sort of feel the pain here , and even as bad as it got me , it was nothing as bad as this .

This kind of stuff WILL kill you in the blink of an eye . . .

take note .

"Brother , if i have to explain , you wouldn't understand "

This is on my buddy Davey who is one of my best friends . His wife who is also a tattooer did this on him for his birthday . Fuckin jamming out in the wind style !

dapper , yet menacing . . .

I realized I forgot the best part of getting a picture with a stormtrooper . . .

This is the best part of the story .

I won the free photo with a stormtrooper by donating some money and getting to spin a wheel . If it landed on yellow I got a picture . So I go up to the wheel and really lay into it . It literally spins around for like 3 minutes . I guess it was greased up pretty good . . . I hit yellow and start to do my stormtrooper dance .

As I'm walking over to the trooper , who was a very pretty woman minion of evil , my wife tells me later that the woman manning the wheel tells her that " man that's the most excited anyone has been all day to get a free picture with a stormtrooper " . . .

once again . . . welcome to my life .

every year around this time there's this thing in our neighborhood

It's called Alex's lemonade stand and it's about making money for fighting childhood cancer . Google it and donate a few bucks .

A friend of mine named Tim Pyles who is a radio personality type is always down there talking it up and helping out and this year they had a few acoustic type bands jamming out in the lawn . It's always at the same house , a few blocks away from us so we walked down there to see what was going on , and look who was hanging around .

The 4th-O-July

Party at Sunshine and Andrews new house. Me and her bro built a little Slip-N-Slide, people got drunk and bombed it, it was a good time.
